best opportunity on the island for college students, high school students, or anyone seeking a fantastic experience!
Join us as a First Mate and learn, earn, and have fun while creating unforgettable memories on the lake for our passengers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure they feel welcomed, entertained, and informed throughout the tour.
• Assist with safety protocols, boarding, and emergencies.
• Keep the boat clean, fueled, stocked (ice, water, towels), and organized.
• Manage equipment and prep supplies for each tour.
• Share fun facts about Lake Champlain’s geology, history, and folklore.
• Collaborate with the Captain for smooth, magical operations.

Qualifications

• A friendly personality with great customer service skills.
• Physically fit and ready to handle gear and cleanup.
• Strong swimmer and willing to learn about boats.
• CPR & First Aid certified (or willing—we’ll pay for Red Cross training!).
• Valid VT Boating License (or willingness to get it—Captain Scotty will help and pay for it!).
• Vermont Fishing License (we’ll also cover this cost!).
• Reliable Work Ethic: Punctuality is a must—we sail on time!
• Team-Player Attitude: Work closely with the captain and guests for a seamless, joyful trip.
